10 Microbiome-Boosting Meal Ideas
Searching for a gut-boost? Look no further! Here’s a list of 10 great meal starting ideas with gut-boosting ingredients!
Sooo, my personal favorite probiotic is sauerkraut. Not surprisingly, I used to hate it when I was a kid and always wondered how my mother could enjoy it so much. To me it smelled gross and the texture and color looked awful. My mother, however, claimed a Reuben sandwich was the ultimate sandwich and would regularly create this weird mixture of ingredients and consume it with relish. To be fair, she does have significant German roots so maybe that was it. Who knows? Oddly enough, fast forward a few years and here I sit in midlife feeling the exact same way she did. I absolutely love a good Reuben now. Especially if it is grilled and has a good amount of German sauerkraut on it. lol. It really goes without saying. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. ;) I hope you enjoy the recipes we’ve cultivated to help you work a probiotic food and some additional fiber into your day. —-Peggy
