Deciding on a Dietitian? Read this!

Finding a dietitian that is right for you can be overwhelming and uncomfortable. It is hard enough making the decision to find one, let alone one that suits your needs! Here are a few questions to ask when choosing a dietitian for you:

  1. What are your goals?

  2. Does it seem like the dietitian has a balanced outlook on food?

  3. Do they advertise services that align with what you are looking for?

  4. Would you feel comfortable talking to them about sensitive topics such as weight, dieting, history, etc?

  5. Do they promote loving oneself or do they focus on changing your body in order to love yourself? (you want it to be the former)

  6. Are they a registered dietitian/nutritionist (RDN) or are they just a nutritionist/health coach? There is a BIG difference between the three of these!

  7. What work experience do they have?

Just because a friend of yours really likes someone, doesn’t mean you have to as well! Your health is our priority, just as it should be to any other dietitian!
